Sleepy village at dawn

It was a very windy cold morning then, I had a quick breakfast with some hot tea before venturing out just as the sun began to rise. The whole place was shrouded in mountain mist and as the sun rose higher, the mist started to clear, making way for clearer and clearer pictures.


This particular picture was taken at the earlier part of the sun's ascent, with the village below still partly hidden in the shadows of the receding night (can we still qualify that as night? anyway.....). It was a bonus for me that the evaporating mist still allowed capture of penetrating light shafts. Beautiful experience to see the whole sunrise event unfolding before me.
